BFT is a project that stems from the need for continuous innovation in the printing world, with a particular focus on inking systems.
Today, most of these systems are operated manually and without any kind of automation: the speed of the pumps is regulated by the operator and the ink bucket is removed during the washing phase and a bucket of water is inserted.
To enhance this process, BFT has created the BFT Flexo inking and washing system and the BFT Carbon doctor chamber: two products that can be used serparately, but that, when integrated, reach unparalleled levels of process optimisation.

BFT Carbon – Offering Chambered Doctor Blades (Advanced Composite Equipment)
Chambered Doctor Blades
BFT Carbon is developed in carbon & guarantees a surface like new, even after ten years of use! This is all that is related to enclosed chambers. Key reasons why chambers are made of carbon fiber material:

Light weight as carbon fiber is lighter than steel.

Surface made it easier to clean.
Thanks to the high surface tension of the epoxy resin, ink does not cling to the surface and water simply removes ink during washing, requiring less effort and time.
Carbon is an ultra-light material and facilitates the installation and movement of the doctor blade unit. Unlike aluminum systems that require two people for handling, BFT Carbon only requires one operator.
Profiles are specially designed for every type of application, from inking to coating. BFT creates made-to-measure profiles at the customer's request and converts doctor blade units in aluminum with state-of-the-art carbon fiber units.

BFT FLEXO – Inking Systems
The BFT FLEXO systems are completely automatic: to start any cycle, just press a button on the touch screen.
Process standardization - The operator can easily set the speed of the pumps from the screen optimizing the inking phase and the washing phase. This setting is saved and linked to the order to be resumed over time.
Ink recovery - Thanks to the option of reversing the delivery pump, the system can recover all the residual ink that is washed, reducing waste!
Self-Diagnosis – All components of the system carry out a self-diagnosis, showing the life of each component & signaling any potential maintenance to the operator, avoiding costly downtime!
