On behalf of the Canadian Flexographic Training Committee (CFTC) Board of Directors, it was our pleasure to donate funds and offer our full support to the team of six excited, outstanding ⭐ Graphic Communications Management (GCM) students ⭐ from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) who will be representing Canada and traveling to this year's Phoenix Challenge at the Flexographic Technical Association Forum and INFOFLEX in Columbus, April 14th -19th!
It is important to note that we have dedicated this contribution to our valued CFTC Board & Industry team member Mr. Fred Spohr, who passed away very suddenly last month. Fred so kindly and generously volunteered his time and efforts to the CFTC throughout the years. We know this gesture, and the students efforts at the Phoenix Challenge would have made him very proud!
The pandemic disrupted many activities for these students, including the Phoenix Challenge. They could not participate for the last three years, but they are ready and I personally look forward to seeing the TMU team in Ohio next week and supporting these future flexographers in action!
In past years GCM students have volunteered and supported CFTC activities and fundraising projects. Under the expert leadership of Professor Ian Baitz, students continue to work hard on flexo education at TMU and industry partnerships are a very important part of training future flexographers! 👍
All the best representing Canada, our team at Canflexographics Ltd is behind you! 📣
